Happy Halloween!

As you know, tonight is Halloween. Here I'll share with you some information about this celebration, so common in the UK and the USA, but with a really ancient origin!I'll leave you the link, in case you want to find out a bit more about it!

On October 31st, we celebrate Halloween,thought to be the one night of the year when ghosts, witches, and fairies are especially active.

Why do we celebrate halloween?

The easy answer to this question is that no one really knows the origins of Halloween.

What we do know for sure is that Halloween is on the eve of a major Catholic festival, All Saints (1st November), and the eve of the pagan Celtic festival known as Samhain.

Where does the name Halloween originate from?

Halloween comes from All Hallow Even, the eve (night before) All Hallows day. Therefore, Halloween is the eve of All Saints Day.

Evil spirits

The Celts believed that evil spirits came with the long hours of winter darkness. They believed that on that night the barriers between our world and the spirit world were at their weakest and therefore spirits were most likely to be seen on earth

SUMMARY OF THE EPISODE 1 (THE KING´S MISTAKE)

For Sherlock Holmes, there was only one woman in the world but he didn´t love her.Her name was Irene Adler, she was born in 1850.Someone gave a letter to Holmes and he though that the letter  was written by a  German because it was made in Bohemia and he knew that the person was rich.He talked to the king of Bohemia (who came to Holmes' house) and he told him about a photo in which were Irene and him. So he wanted to find the photo and asked for Holmes' help.

VideoGames !!!

My idea is to show videos two days a week because it`s a lot to show three videos a week, I think : By this time I have to show six games ( Minecraft , AgeOfMithology , LegueOfLegends , KillCraft , Operation 7 ( maybe ) and Skyrim ) and the six games are good but I think that you like some more than others .
Please comment but don`t insult please because  my friends and I are new in the blogs

This weekend

This weekend I went to take my mom to the casino with my dad and we went to see a karting race

the race was very good although the rider tha won is not my favorite. also  there was a fight between two riders because both wanted to leave early and fought

Hello.I am Matias and I go to an English class.I am eleven years old and I like technology but I am not lazy.I like playing football and watching football ,too.I don ´t like dancing or singing.I have got blonde hair and I have got brown eyes.I go to Nuestra Señora Del Huerto School.I love videogames because they are funny and the videogames are funnier than the books.I hate listening to the radio but I love watching tv.I hate reading books.
I am talking about the videogames now, which are about action:
(Call of duty black opps 2),aventures(Of Xbox 360 Kinect Aventures),entertainment(Sims 3),ect.The consoles which are more famous are Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.In the Playstation 3 there are jockstick (x,circule,triangle,square,star,select,analog,l1,l2,r1,r2 and move) and one jockstick vertical and long where you can stand up opposite the camera and you can play with this jockstick.In the Xbox 360 there are jockstick (a,b,x,y,start,back,lb,lt,rb,rt and move) and nothing else.You can stand up  opposite the kinect similar to a camera where you can play with anything.In the future it will be on sale the Playstation 4 and Xbox One ( Xbox 720 ).There are different videogames eg: Pes 2013 It can´t be played in Playstation 2.
I prefer the videogames of action and I have got  the Xbox 360 and I like it,too.The GTA (Grand Theft Auto) V ( Five) It is very famous because It is exciting, interesting, funny and  the graphics and all versions are fantastic.

Hi ! My name is Magali and I  am 12 years old. I live in Argentina , Villa Pueyrredon. In  June is my birthday.

I have one brother: Ivan, he is 8 years old and I have a dog: Bruma and 3 birds .I live with my parents, brother, dog, birds and my grandfather.

I like dogs, birds, movies, sports (like hockey),shopping centres,and others. This year, we use the woorbook and students book: " New Challenges 2" and I'm going to finish the primary school.I like One Direction. In the picture,my dog is very small but now she is very big!

Well, I'm Greta, and I'm the teacher in our class but I have to say that I'm also a learner here. For example, I didn't know anything about Minecraft until the boys told me what it was about (quite exciting, by the way). And the girls introduced me to the world of their favourite singers, like Selena Gomez or Big Time Rush.

I'm 22 and I am also a student: I want to be an anthropologist. I'll tell you some day what that means, if you want. I have worked in this institute since 2009 but this is the first year I work with the kids who are writing in this blog.

I'm glad we have a blog, cause I love blogs and I usually use the Internet in my life. Besides, these children are awesome and I would really like you to meet them, you won't be disappointed.
