Explanation

Hello, everybody! As María and Julieta asked me to explain the homework again, here I go.

You have to say what is happening in the situation the text describes (the dialogue). Who are those people? What are they doing? Where are they? What are they talking about? What do they think of the auditions they had earlier? How are they feeling?

Instead of the dialogue, you have to write a paragraph, by using the connectors we've been studying and past tenses, to practise Narrative Tenses in use.

Is it clear now? if it isn', write again :)
Sorry I couldn't answer before. Hope I'll be in time.
see you tomorrow.

Hi Camila!
Here I'm in Canadá! I got here today, yes, I've just done it! I am staying with my mum and dad, and we are going to be back home in two weeks and a half. Now, in one hour, w are visiting the Madison Square Garden, I'm really excited!!
Tomorrow we are going to visit a Toronto Zoo, I like animals, but dogs, and also cats!!
For now, I haven't had any problems at school because I gave the exams before I left, but I hated doing it because I had to study altogether and it was difficult for me!
I'll see you in 16 days!! :)
Love you.
Juli.

My Summary- Karen

A group of kids go bowling in Norwich after school. And they're talking about bowling, Sam thinks it is OK but Matt doesn't like living with Sam because he snores and the flat is small. Matt says that Sam doesn't listen because he has earplugs. Then they started talking about the audition that Gwen took: Matt  thinks it was a disaster  and she thinks the same. Then they began to discuss what Matt said  about her lucky ring: it was better to have gone with it, but Sam and Gwen think that they are only Matt's  superstitions. However, Jasmin also thinks it's bad luck if you wear yellow clothes in the audition but she has her lucky bracelet so they ended up talking about her bracelet.
Hello miss, I'm Julieta, I have one question for you. I don't understand the homework, we have to do a text of 100 words explaining what happened to the boys auditions? explaining what happened?
Thank you!!

My Weekends - Karen

At my weekends I go to the park or ride a bike however now I can’t go very much because I have hit my knee and then I can't  run or jump either. I  make handicrafts and the bracelets un my free time as well. Sometimes I go to pay some bills to Walmart (a supermarket) but  I also buy some things for home.  I always use the computer and watch TV, too.

E-mail - Karen

Hi , Gaby
Here I'm in Londres It's fantastic. I arrived here last monday and when I was coming on the plane, I was boring but I could use the mobile phone, luckily! Here there are a lot of cinemas and here the city has got a beautiful view.
I am going to an academy called ICMP, which is a musical academy. I go there because I love  music and I play the piano, too. In my class we are learning to play Beethoven and it is wonderful! In the next class we are going to play in an opera. I'm excited!!! But now I have to learn the chords of one of Beethoven's songs because that is my homework.
I'm writing a song, too, and I think ir is very beautiful I'm excited about it (and I am also a bit anxious!)
Well, tomorrow I'll write to you again, I promise. I'm fine here. I hope to see you soon.I love you

Email, Maria

Hi Finn,
How are you? Here I am in Australia! I arrived here last Friday with a group of friends. The flight was really funny and entertaining, we watched a movie, we ate a lot and slept, too. Then, we got a train here to get to the school.
Juilliard School is amazing! It's a little difficult, but I have learned a lot! In our first music class, my friend Laura and I sang a song from the Beatles, she sang and I played the guitar. We didn't sound very good, but our teacher, Bywater, gave us some tips to make it better,so next week we have a presentation and we must be prepared! There are excellent teachers, they teach very well and we are learning a lot, however, there are some of them that are boring. For example, our singing teacher, Mr. Benson. He tells us much about his past as a singer in a rock band, it sounds funny, but it's not, it's very boring.
I am sharing a room with a girl from Scotland, she sings great and she dances very well! Her name is Jasmin, and Sam, my other friend, plays the piano and the drums really well, he told me he wants to be in a band like Benson.
Well, I have to go to practice for the presentation.
  Kisses!
  Maria

Hi Lucas,
Here I am in the United States!! I arrived here last month and tomorrow I am returning to Buenos Aires. The flight wasn't very boring or tiring because during the trip, the stewardess gave you food and games to play with your phone. In the United States I met my grandfather and he is looking a lot better.
High School Musical (the real school) looks much better than in the film. Now it is much bigger and it has more classrooms, too. I go to this school because I love music and I also like playing the guitar so this school is ideal for musicians!
The teachers are very friendly but the students are disrespectful. The school was founded in 1984 and has 5 dance studios  and a lot of theatres. This school has fantastics dancers!!!!
Well, tomorrow I'll see you and I am very happy because of that!!!
See ya!
